When beginning a painting, my goal is to mirror an interesting scene that has made me look twice—flowers clarified by light, colorful fruit peeking from a shadowed bowl, a charming country cottage emerging from intensely dark tree shadows.
Through watercolor, I’m inviting you to pause with me and enjoy the simple moments and common images around us. Even the seemingly mundane can be captivating and enlightening with interesting colors, shadows, and light. Art that attracts a viewer’s eye to stop, observe, and appreciate the beauty from our Creator is the greatest compliment I am given as an artist.
